Re: Pelargonium punctatum
The range of different species Pelargonium colours is amazing. My favourite is P. tricolor - black, white and scarlet all in one flower. Sadly I find it impossible to grow.

Re: Pelargonium punctatum
And almost impossible to find. I can get it through summer but haven't cracked how to get it through winter.
Re: Pelargonium punctatum
Why impossible to grow Ralph? Whats the problem with 'tricolor species'?

Re: Pelargonium punctatum
It dies, whatever I do. I've tried it in the greenhouse, in the garden,in the house, like a succulent, like a pot geranium. Nothing works. I have a fair success rate with most Pelargoniums, but not that one.
I suspect its impossible to find as most other folks also find it tricky.

Re: Pelargonium punctatum Solved
Unless AnTTun is thinking of the Pelargonium with triple coloured leaves?

Re: Pelargonium punctatum
Apparently it comes from the winter rainfall area but can't take much moisture. Maybe 80/20 grit and compost?
Re: Pelargonium punctatum
It's such a weird colour. I bought my Pelargonium punctatum plant a few months ago so I haven't seen mine flower before. The spike's only about a centimetre or so high so I've still got a little while to wait.
