I second that. It's a wonderful resource of correct information, in a web full of dubious stuff.

Describe where it was and I'll see if I can work it out for you.

Was it near the canteen or near Ian Robinson? Cacti or Succulents?
Thank you. Yes, it will have been near the canteen. As you walked into the hall, it was on the front row on the left. They sold mainly succulents. They had a small tray of Adromischus marianae as shown in Brian's photo, but a lot of their plants seemed to be one-offs. All sorts of stuff.

Not many stalls have signs or their name on their labels, etc, so I often find myself buying lovely plants and having no idea who I bought them from.
It is almost certain to be John Gregory - Manchester Branch member. He grows and sells a lot of unusual plants.

Thank you. I think I bought 2 Tylecodon, a caudiciform mesemb, an Adromischus marianae, a medusoid Euphorbia and a Haemanthus there, so it was an interesting selection of stuff.

The Seyrigia and Adromischus and Senecio were from John Gregory & I am very pleased to have them. Yes I think the Seyrigia will have a caudex, but I’ve not looked yet.

The Pachyphytum references are really helpful, thank you Liz, Tony & Ralph. My plant is in bud ready to flower; I’m not sure if the flowers differ much between different species. I hope my plant is happy with the new identity .

That is a very interesting reference source, Liz, thank you.

I am waiting for the Pachyphytum flowers to open but they look like viride based on the photographs.

I see there is a Pachyphytum CONFUSUM as well. How appropriate for my plant!!
