Hi all, just wondered if I could remove this wrongly placed offset lol, and re root it.its about 2inches in diameter.

I feel ill-qualified to comment, as I have never grown this species to that size.

But my two-pennorth is leave it as is. It will never be a show winner maybe, but who cares about that? The risk is you end up with a disfigured stock, and lose the upper growth.

Let it be. This is what it wanted to do, for whatever reason.

I wonder whether there are any pics of the species in habitat showin this anomaly? I suspect not, as most pics might be of more "normal" growth.

There's grafting stock to the left just waiting for the top section.

Yes , cut it off and use the base as a stock plant for new offsets unless you like the shape of it .
Once you top it chuck loads of fertiliser on the base and keep it moist- give it a tray, these like a lot of water in warm weather, mine are with my melo's and paddle for a few days after being watered.

It must've lost its original growing point so removing the large branch from the top won't really result in a 'normal' plant, since it will have to produce more branches to keep growing. But that could be a good thing.

but you will get a nice offset to grow on and more to come later .
A peanut shaped uebellmania will be UGLY even by my standards.
