They shoot their seed all over the green house. The plant in the front of this bowl originated nearly four foot away from its parent plant lol. Did not notice it until I turned bowl around. Cheers

Thanks for information. I will keep mine distant from bare compost.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

that is really something to see, I wish mine grew that well without me watching..

I pollinated mine, the females are enlarging and it reminded me to get a very fine mesh bag to catch the seeds.

I find dorstenia seed the same when it goes in a odd pot uninvited it grows well but if I try and harvest the seed and sow it in a pot I get zero or low germination.

I think you are right Tina, I think we give out plants a little more TLC than needed. Left to their own devices they can manage quite well. When I used bubble wrap on the roof you could actually hear the seeds striking the plastic lol. Cheers
