Re: Stapeliad thread
Hi Mike,
It's a long time since I grew any Stapelia type plants, and they seem quite hard to come by(buy) these days.
But here's my little offering, can't find any photos of the others I once had.
Anyone got any cuttings or spares to sell, it would be good to get a few again.
Best wishes.
Mel.

I think your Huernia is H. schneideriana, but might be wrong...

Re: Stapeliad thread
I think that's Huernia pillansii Peter. Not a Hoodia.

Re: Stapeliad thread
I wanted to tell you the story behind my plant..... I have a succulent book with beautiful black and white photos of a Hoodia and was always interested in having one, this was 40 years ago. Moved to Santa Cruz and visited a succulent nursery and picked this plant up, no label. The owner was a really old fiend, and said "if you know the name you can have it." So out came "Hoodia" and he gave it to me.....peter831shaw wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 2:10 pmI had a feeling it was not what I thought it had been, Thanks Mike!

Here's some of my seedling Hoodias to show the difference Peter. Unfortunately I lost my mature Hoodias in my house move. I'm sure there are others who could show you a mature specimen.
