Can I suggest Portulaca without any high degree of confidence. The flowering stems do have the look of Anacampseros which is a genus that used to be in the same family before Anacampserotaceae was split off.

I believe it is a Calandrinia sp, probably grandiflora. Xeric poppies from Chile - high on my 'must try outside' list!

this grows very fast here on the CA coast, really loud flower color.

Was Calandrinia spectabilis now Cistanthe grandiflora.

As Calandrinia grandiflora it was on the 2010/11 BCSS seed list. In my growing conditions/greenhouse it proved short lived, but did successfully self seed for a while. The undersides of the leaves were a deep purple colour.
