Lithops query
Hi all, over the years due to incorrect cultivation, and not removing all last years growth, a few of my thirty year old plants have developed a corky or woody center and the heads seems to be smaller rather than growing bigger. Would it be advisable to remove the heads and re root them.. If so, when would be the optimum time for this operation. Thanks

Re: Lithops query
You can certainly remove heads, or break up entire clumps. At the end of summer is a good time to try and root them, but now will work. Always seems to take an age when I do it, so maybe wait for advice from someone who knows how to get roots in a few weeks.
