Love it!
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

The plant is around the full size of my thumb with one small offset developing. Yes, it is on its own roots. I have three of these plants and interestingly, they are taking it in turn to flower. See attached picture of the first one. The third plant is only just getting the flower buds past its main body. Such a delicate plant and must be one of my favourites.

It's planted in a risky big pot, though. I would use a pot size 1/4th of this one, I think.

Why is the pot size risky?

It's too large for such a small plant, especially one with a tuberous root system, making the likelihood of rot a possibility. Most cacti are potted in a pot that just fits the root system comfortably, so that the potting mix isn't in danger of staying wet too long. With a plant like M. luethyi you really don't want to risk root rot.
