Echinocereus websterianus L98

Post by sechjoh »

This plant is grown from seeds that were sown in 2011-04, and has developed a bud for the first time.
The trunk is about 4.5 centimeters in diameter.

I've only seen it on pictures from the net so this is very exciting.
What I know of, it just grows on a little island in the Gulf of California.

Well done you Christer, I have never been able to flower websterianus, none of the 4 plants ( 2 clones ) I have, have got there yet even though they grow well and look fine.

It's getting exciting now
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.
