Rooting Portulacaria [Ceraria] pygmaea cuttings

Post by MikeDom »

These were easier to root than I thought in wet sand with bottom heat. Even the smallest cuttings are happy to oblige; a 100% success rate.

Active grower of caudiciform succulents and mesembs. I don't really grow cacti (very often).

That looks easy, I rooted one piece I broke off my plant but haven't tried any others. I'm guessing these won't get the lumpy bases but it will be interesting to see.
It could be a useful way of getting seed production as these will probably flower more once they get larger.

varied collection of succulents and cacti but I especially like Euphorbia's, Ariocarpus and variegated agaves.
