Astro needing CV name

Hi All,
Trying to keep occupied whilst i'm house band 'cos of the rain'.
Anyone know what the fancy name for this is ??, astro with bobbles won't be good enough for the show judge

cv line areoles could be a fancy way of writing with bobbles :wink:

It's a super plant Tina, but I don't think it needs a cv name. The one you linked to is named for the "extra" ribs that form between the proper ribs, which yours doesn't have.

yeah but no but.... Asto asteias is soo blahhh. Amazed I haven't killed it yet as the green form with bobbles I buy at ELK every year seems to be an annual.

Sorry I Can't remember, I buy them for the pretty body, although now I have seen Diane's red flowered Astro I want one of those too.
I did lots of hybridising of Astro's last year but haven't bothered this year, astro kikko seedlings come up seriously chunky.

'Ooibo' seems to be used for asterias with extra-woolly areoles.
