How long...
Slowly sorting out what is alive in my greenhouse, today I noticed some seedlings have appeared in an empty pot. I do not know what the pot was near that might have produced some seeds so the question is how long before it is possible to say what is growing in this pot?

Re: How long...
I grew some mesemb seeds that looked like that at first.
Pretty sure they were Glottiphyllums.

Lots of mesembs look like that. Have to watch those true leaves to be sure. I'd go with something more shrubby than Glottiphyllum, maybe Drosanthemum.

Re: How long...
Pretty sure these are not Glottiphyllums as I don't think I have any, possible mesembs would be Tricodiadema (3 or 4 varieties) and Delosperma echinatum

Re: How long...
Agree they are Trichodiadema - look closely at the topmost plant and you will see the characteristic hairs on the end of the stem coming through.Jim_Mercer wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 3:00 pmPretty sure these are not Glottiphyllums as I don't think I have any, possible mesembs would be Tricodiadema (3 or 4 varieties) and Delosperma echinatum

Re: How long...
These are my T. fourcadei seedlings, about a week behind yours, but you can see the similarity. Not such a good resolution as yours, but I just used my phone having run to the greenhouses through the pissistent rain.

Re: How long...
They look like Monilaria seedlings.
