Not just Award of Merit but Best Succulent, well done Jean, and not an easy plant to exhibit in an unmarked state.

The Pygmaeocereus is the outstanding plant in my eyes. I have never seen one any near that size and it is covered with flower buds too. Could be quite a smell when they are out one night.

Thanks for the kind comments and I quite agree that the Pygmaeocereus is amazing, I've never grown one above a 3.5" pot.
I was really struck this year by the reactions of some visitors, as we had advertised our show in a free local booklet and were pleased to see a good number of extra people, including a number who were very interested in the plants and who took leaflets about the BCSS and the branch meetings. Running a show and bringing the plants along is hard work, but they are a great advertisement for the hobby.

Thank you for posting the pictures, some very nice looking plants this year, I am sorry I missed the show this year.
I am sure that the hard work you have all put into the shows, reaching out to the local growers will reap the reward of a few new members.
Regards Keith.
