I know hybrids from seed is an anathema to many, but what is the correct way of ascribing the name?
Is it ....
female parent name X male parent name
Or
male parent name X female parent name
For those seeds of indeterminate male parentage because insects naturally intervened .... is it ....
X plant name from which the seeds were collected
With regards to harvesting the seed ... when and how?
With regards to sowing the seeds .. when ... and if to wait ... storage etc?
Hybrids .... nomenclature advice please

Hybrids .... nomenclature advice please
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Re: Hybrids .... nomenclature advice please
Quote the female parent first.
If it is an absent father then just say ex-mother.
Harvest, storage and sowing will vary enormously with species and family.
