Sometimes adjusting the brightness and contrast in an image editor pulls enough info out to make the label just legible. I've tried it, but nothing doing, unfortunately.

AnTTun,
As a suggestion, try writing the letters A, B, C.......Z on a label and make note of the points where you touch the label to then make line strokes. You might then be able to deduce the letters from your collection of dots. Good luck!

I think its one of my labels ( ) and I already went through Tony's approach, not very successfully I'm afraid.

I used to think Sharpie pens were good, but not any more - perhaps they changed the recipe?

Ralph - if you pull out all your labels, number them and take a photo of them. Then leave in the sun, eventually some time next year, one of them may look like Anttun's label. Just a case of matching the number to the photo.....

Errrrr. Ah, then you'd have to remember which plants had which labels in  :???: ..... and re-write them all...... Umm. Maybe not.

On a serious note, I asked this question on the forum years ago as I had very old labels written by Rene Giesler still legible. He replied he uses a re fillable Rotring pen. They are expensive but the ink out lasts the plant " his words". Cheers

Hmmmm if I take the three vertical dots to be letters 'E', the top line could be 'Chamaecereus'. Seems to fit with the remaining dots, too. Not sure about the bottom line, though (doesn't seem to be 'silvestrii'...)

I've turned on the desk lamp and moved the label until I got the 'right' angle to read the name.
Astro - good job, CHAMECEREUS ROCKET
Ralph - shame on you, it is your label :)

Edding 8400 deserves the name 'permanent marker'

May be easier to put the pots with no label in a row and try to match it up.

Interesting comment, Eric. I have labels 12 years old or more from Rene and they are all perfectly clear with fine writing, I’ve thought for ages I wish I knew the pens he used. I use the BCSS offering but they are thick and certainly don’t last 12 years!
