Argentina guided tours - recommendations, please?

Post by Paul in Essex »

I posted this in 'Travelogues' but perhaps that was the wrong place?

I'd rather like to go on one of the guided tours to Argentina, maybe the one that goes over the top into Chile (or vice versa?) Has anyone any particular recommendations, please?

Muchas gracias

Thanks gents, I'll look into these. I'd been recommended Guillermo but always nice to have a back up plan!

The Alpine Garden Society are doing tours to that area with a fair degree of cactus as well as alpine interest.

Interesting, thank you Terry. I have been toying with joining the Alpine Soc, although I guess the tours are open to non-members.

Sadly not. I had to join last year to go to Mendoza and Patagonia with them.

Ah. Well, it might be worthwhile in the long term to join. Or not. :)

Adds around £30 to the cost of the trip. With the current state of the Argentine peso that several nice bottles of Malbec!
