Glad it went well for you roy. I had an open day of my own. I was grafting some seedlings when this came in, so I repatriated it to the "wild" garden

That's a Elephant Hawk moth caterpillar. and it likes the weed Willow herb.

That looks fearsome Nick how big was it? I take it that is a surval strategy and it apears to have eyes in it's ar...... er bottom

Good & Bugger in that order 8-)

Good - I've got some Willow herb in the "wild" Garden (must get round to doing that bit, we've been here 21 years now Lol!!!

Bugger - I've got about 20 fuchsia outside enjoying the summer !

As to size Roy, I would guess it was about 8mm dia & 80mm long.
