Hi All,
I am a new member so I thought I would introduce myself.
I am a 33 year old ex-South African (been here 6 years) living in Hertfordshire, just north of London.
I have grown cacti and succulents since I was 12 years old. I had quite an extensive collection when I left SA which I obviously had to give up.
Over the past few years I have been building up my collection again in my 10 ft x 12 ft greenhouse.
My favorite succullents are Aloes, Haworthia, Gasteria, Lithops, Conophytum and some Stapeliads. I do grow a few other bits and pieces which take my fancy.
On the cacti side, I like the 'living rocks' (Ariocarpus etc) and am becoming more interested in cristates and some of the rarer Mammillarias. A few weeks ago I stumbled across the Cactology website. Lethal. Not sure where I am going to find space for everything!
Well I hope to meet some interesting people and learn a few things from the Forum.
Thanks
Frank

Hi Frank,
Welcome to the forum!
Must have been hard to leave behind such a collection, and also getting used to the different growing conditions here with your new collection!
I have learnt plenty from this forum being a newbie to the hobby and have found it indispensable! I'm sure you will enjoy it too!

Hi Frank,
Welcome to the forum! You'll definitely find it very interesting. A lot of the members grow the plants you like and I'm sure you'll learn a thing or two from them and I'm sure you will have plenty to contribute too.
