Its never going to be a mound of elephant dung, I didn't even grow it for the caudex, but here is Delosperma napiforme.

Actually, I was making up a package but can't find your address. Maybe I never had it? Closest I could come was Colin's work address. Good job my seedlings don't have caudexes like your monster. Think of the postage! Do you know what it is?

Hi Ian

It's a Fockea crispa, the owner got the plant in 1977 so it's nearly prehistoric. The other one is a fockea edulis & the one I left behind was a F.Augustifolia which has flat leaves (I'm tempted to get that one swell).

I had to get my eldest son to get it out of the car & carry it to the greenhouse for me as it's quite heavy.
I'll email my address or just put my name onto Colin's work address, we both work in the same dept.

I already sent it to work, Tina. Coincidentally, eBay Canada has this today, which includes one of the best photos I've seen of a mature D. napiforme.
