Well I do come back to the old country every so often Nick and I wish I could carry a few plants to give to old friends -- but thanks to my Mum & Dad, I am too law abiding (and chicken) to try!

Living in S. Arizona with its year round daily sunshine, very hot summers and mild, warm winters -- plus year round feeding with 10-30-20 fertilizer.
To my mind, it is nature's way of paying me back for the mighty struggles I had growing cacti during the miserably cold winters in WW2 Lancashire! :-)
Addendum:
Any idiot can grow cacti well in S. Arizona -- I do! :-)

Wow, that's amazing in less than a year!! Will they flower by next year or is it a genus that needs to be more mature before flowering??
