The loph with the pups looks like a L.williamsii caespitosa but I can't any more than that.
When lophophora's are young they all look the same ( to me anyway)

So actually I should wait to the flower to bloom?
Only then I whould be 100% certain?
Williamsii is a pinkish color? Isn't?
Unlike the difussa and the fricii..

Am I right?

And I've always been pleased with http://www.mesagarden.com/.
There are sources of seeds listed at http://www.cactus-mall.com/seeds.html

I've bought from Succeed and Mesa Garden for a while now, and their see is usually pretty good. Doug and Viv Rowland have a good list, and the ML field numbered Mammillarias I had from them this year germinated very well. Koehres has a wide list as well, with some rather old names, but I've always found their germination somewhat variable.

I think they all deliver within the EEC, not sure about further afield.

Chris,

What do you do about all the documentation that is needed for Mesa seeeds or do you just order them.

I got some via my mate in California but he has just been transferred to work in Australia so that has dried up my source.

I just order them, Bob, and haven't had a problem. I did check with DEFRA some while ago, and so long as they aren't Appendix I seeds, all should be OK. I am sure though that a year or two ago I did order some Appendix I seeds from there and Steven Brack sent them anyway.

I'll email you with the relevent answer from DEFRA.

You can order them thru David Rushforth can't you? I thought he was a sort of Agent for Mesa.
