Tending more towards cacti :D, particularly Gymnocalyciums, Rebutias, Sulcorebutias, Echinopses, Thelos, Feros and Mamms (and anything else I like the look of!) all in an 8 x 6 polycarb greenhouse and a few windowsills!

Isn't it interesting how sellers manage to inclue key words into the title ie 'rare' 'ariocarpus' even though the plant is a Lophophora. I guess this just makes buyers searches more likely to hit.

I've noticed many cacti being sold with the comment: "Not Ariocarpus", so anyone searching for Arios would bring all of them up!! I suppose now the Loph is banned, it offers another opportunity to use Ariocarpus!!

It's banned because they class it as a narcotic drug

What silliness... where will it all end? And who is daft enough to pay that for a plant when anyone who knows even a little about them will know it's vastly overpriced? I bet you only need google the name and find a handful of nurseries and sellers who will sell it for ?50 or whatever it's worth. I bet it's been nurtured for many years by some caring person. But a ?K?

Banned for being a narcotic? Well quite right if it really is, but it's sad that people can no longer buy one who just want to collect and not to smoke or eat it. *rolls eyes*

Who could eat a sweet little plant just to get their jollies?
I get more jollies watching them grow.
Happy carrier of Forby Disorder - an obsession with Euphorbia obesa.

NB. Anyone failing to provide a sensible name for me to address them will be called, or referred to, as Fred.

From what I?ve read Julie, there?s barely any 'narcotic substance' in the cultivated plants anyway so it?s a bit daft!!
