More spiny inspiration

You've inspired me to so photoing spines. Can't quite compare with your quality but here goes...
First, a bit of convergent evolution with your first snaps, (Sulco)Rebutia KK 1961:

Then Echinopsis ferox:

Followed by three spiny Opuntias - a very spiny Maihueniopsis glomerata (andicola) PW 6473:

A glassy spined impenetrable Tephrocactus weberi P 164:
