Escobaria alversonii Q for Tina or anyone

Post by iann »

I just noticed on the seedlist that Tina had this BCSS seed last year. How did that go? I sowed it, got good germination, and then they all dried up over the summer. A different Escobaria vivipara sowing at the same time and in the same conditions grew strongly and some are nearly an inch high.

Hi Ian

Sorry only just noticed this, I acquired some spare BCSS seeds from a friend so I sent them to Chris so sorry I haven't actually sown any of them, I probably should have kept them but I only have so much space.

varied collection of succulents and cacti but I especially like Euphorbia's, Ariocarpus and variegated agaves.

I have just asked Chris for some so I will report back this time next year if I remember. I will have to keep a careful eye on them.
