Hi Roy,
If it was rare or an old friend that would be different - but given the nature of it and that we all have limited space - chuck it and grow a new one from seed if you want a nice one.

Having said that I have a few that could fit in that category.

Roy,
I commend you for not throwing it. To rescue a plant like this is very satisfying and most likely will give you a year or two on any seedling planted now.
I hope it roots down OK for you.
