If you're this impatient with them popping I don't know how you'll cope waiting for them to germinate and then grow to a reasonable size!
I'm no expert on seeds maturing but I think there's more to it than just drying them out. I know yours must be essentially fully formed but it would be a shame to end up with dry but not quite mature seeds.

Then I shall leave them on the two-towel setting.

When they germinate, I'll crash the server with photos. :)

NB. Anyone failing to provide a sensible name for me to address them will be called, or referred to, as Fred.

I was typing away in Messenger to a distant soulmate, and...

*POP!!*

I jumped out of my skin!

One of the pods is in pieces, and there are three scattered bare seeds.

The radiator is almost cold... so yes it seems to be much more than just drying out, or some thermal expansion.

Wheee!! I have seeds in the proper way. :)

Tending more towards cacti :D, particularly Gymnocalyciums, Rebutias, Sulcorebutias, Echinopses, Thelos, Feros and Mamms (and anything else I like the look of!) all in an 8 x 6 polycarb greenhouse and a few windowsills!

Thanks Maria and Leonet.. I will crash the server with pics when they germinate. I also have gymno. amerhauseri to sow, let's see if it's self-fertile.

Much life and time between now and May... many things to do :)
