I don't like grafted plants, especially when it is so obvious. So luckily I just saved myself loads of money

Re: Anyone fancy having a bid?
Hey Mods - how about a poll to see if we should ban the mention of ebay on this forum.
Best regards

Chris,
Why when it is not self promoting, Vic has no connection with the seller I know them both.
As regards the cost it OTT, I got a couple of retusus at ELK whick were bigger than this for a couple of hundred Euros. They were orginally grafts but had long since produced their own roots.

Re: Anyone fancy having a bid?
I don't think these people that ask very high prices do the hobby any good whatsoever. Unfortunates who are new to the hobby but have plenty of cash are being ripped off and those that are not affluent get the impression that it's a rich mans hobby.

Re: Anyone fancy having a bid?
Maybe this is the first case of need for a subsection of the Forum...all posts regarding eBay go to this...then you can ignore it happily, Chris, while the rest who are interested know exactly where to go??

Re: Anyone fancy having a bid?
Ignore me Chris - I'm just being a miserable barsomething - it just seems we have quite a few 'Have you seen this stupidly priced ebay thing' and they serve very little purpose as they are all the same(ish).
Regarding your categories - I agree wholeheartedly.
We could do with one for:
BCSS announcements
General gardening
Greenhouse non succulent/cactus
Sales lists and swaps
General chatter
Literature
etc...
Best regards
Chris

Re: Anyone fancy having a bid?
Well, the way I look at it is at least you guys have access to plants like this, even if at astronomical prices. Down here you're lucky if there is even one to look at on ebay ! And there are no nurseries or private growers selling the rarer plants here either.
