Dennis,

The reason is probably because your provider is using a caching server or similar, ctrlf5 should fix it as a refresh. It is nothing to do with the forum.

It probably is a caching issue. It could be the settings in your browser, but is more likely to be that your ISP is insulating you from the real internet. A forced refresh (hold down ctrl or shift while pushing refresh depending on your browser) may or may not work. Some ISP caches do not respect this request and will still serve you an old page.

Ian - the page refreshes because new new messages appear - but the old new message does not dissapear in all cases - even after (in danger of repeating repeats here) closing and opening the phorum.

Bob,

ctrl and Refresh does the biz. Except when the post is divided into pages. These are definitely not being cleared.

Dennis,
It will only refresh the currently viewed caching servers work that way.

Chris,

This could be a few things.
Which browser do you use?
Have you got just in time Javascritpt enabled
Are cookies enabled.

Just a few to start with.

Chris,

I am on IE7 and everything works perfectly for me.

The JIT Java setting is in tools/advanced.

After this I suspect it is your providers caching server.
