Longitude 110 and its exploration of deserts is on !

Dear All,

It has been four months that my partner MArjolaine and myself have been pedaling on our heavyily loaded bicycles to finally reach Mexico, from Alaska (10000 km).
But the journey is still at its beginning. We have one year. We can get as far as Argentina if our strength allows it.

Along the way we meeting as many people as we can to report on two subjects that we are passionate about : conservation biology and ethnobotany. AS we return back home we will hopefully have some material to work on popular science articles.
Succulents are of course involved in these two themes and we are including them extensively.

This article might catch your interest as we almost got lost in a lost canyon near Death Valley, but luckily found spring-water and a beer-gathering-four-wheel-drive, and on the way came upon nice specimen of Echinocactus polycephalus, mammillaria and Stenocactus !
