Fantastic Steve! That would do me nicely as a retirement home. B)- Not too sure about the blue colour of the house though think I'd get the white-wash out. Great pics and thanks for sharing!! (tu)

What a beautiful garden! I love the bold colour of the building, it reminds me of Portmeirion. I think I'll move in there, thanks very much. :D

Gorgeous cacti, too. The effect of many together is far more than the sum of the parts... incredible. I want to go there! Someone invent the transporter, please. ;)

NB. Anyone failing to provide a sensible name for me to address them will be called, or referred to, as Fred.

Hi, All.
A google earth search for Marrakech will easily find it as it has a marker as Majorelle jardin

Great pics Steve and thanks for sharing. By coincidence Morocco and this garden is on the short-list for our Autumn break this year and your pics make it even more tempting.

A bit of background for those who don't know. Like the cactus Garden on Lanzarote this garden was the work of an artist, French painter Jacques Majorelle. He specially created the blue the walls and buildings are painted in and it's called Majorelle Blue. The garden has influenced many modern gardens including several that have been shown at Chelsea and Hampton Court shows. Spookily he died as a result of a car accident as did Cesar Manrique who created the Cactus Garden on Lanzarote.
