Chris, in the pic above the elephant's foot, are there two tall obesa in the centre, with a meloformis or valida to the right of them?

And over to the right of the pic, are those smaller younger obesa?

It's veeeery lucky I didn't go :D

Julie there were more obesa and near relatives than you could shake an entire tree at, let alone a stick!:lolbt:

Good Morning.
Excellant pics Chris. looks like absolute paradise for the cactophile.I would have probably bankrupted myself if I`d been there. One of the guts from Exeter was going to get me some bits so will be interesting to see what he got.

Thanks for posting - one of these years I will have to persuade the family to take a holiday to ELK.....

what are those digitostigma-thingys grafted on? They look very fat!

Collection of mostly smaller cacti and succulents (space limited!) including a variety of caudiciforms..... and I've lots to learn about looking after them.

Wow... David, just as well I wasn't there. :)

My mother said, so you have a space on your window sill now? )with the demise of Little Y) I said, are you kidding? It just means the others are slightly less cramped. :lolbt:

Yes and they still weren't all that cheap. I did buy some seed though! Jez, they are grafted on Ferocactus glaucus which is becoming an increasingly popular stock as it's robust and its easy to deal with offsets.

And the prices varied tremendously for those, you had some tables charging nearly as much for a freshly grafted "catapillar" as others were for a plant with half a dozen tubules.
