In all the excitement today nobody has mentioned the show at Oxford yesterday.
It was about a 60 mile trip, but there was a stunning display of plants that made it well worth the effort.
One exhibitor in particular (I won't mention names) had their plants in such perfect condition one could not help but be in awe of their cultivation skills.
There was a separate section devoted to Haworthias with classes eligible for just one or two species in many cases.
I'm sure there will be far more leaned accounts and more accomplished photography in the days to come, however, two plants in particular caught my eye.....both 1st prize winners, of course!

Gasteria...I did ask the name but can't now recall, I'd love to know what it is....and get one too!!

and needless to say I managed to offer a new home to a few plants on the sales bench too.

Hi Curtis
Gasteria rawlinsonii I believe, It was the National Haworthia Society Show as well as the Oxford show, hence the Haworthia. Disappointed I couldn't go this year, need pictures.

Hi Curtis,
Yes very enjoyable & wonderful plants as always.
Bill is correct with the Gasteria rawlinsonii it is owned by our former Chairman & zone rep. I am not a big fan of Gasterias (in comparison with haworthias) but when this was in full flower it was amazing.

You don't see many of these about - Ferobergia (in this case Ferocactus acanthodes x Leuchtenbergia principis) owned by John Watmough:
