Hi
Sadly I have been tasked with arranging an Auction for Rene Geissler who has decided that the time
has come to sell all his plants so I would be grateful if you could send out the following message

Cactus and Succulent Plants for sale by Auction

Many of you will know Rene Geissler from Slimbridge, he has been growing plants for over 40 years
and has now decided that its time to dispose of his collection, this has been a difficult decision for him to
make but he wants to dispose of the plants whilst they are still in good condition.

An Auction of his collection and a number of ancillary items is being arranged to be held at his home
Winsford, Kingston Road, Slimbridge GL2 7BW (on main road to the Wildlife and Wetlands Trust)
On SUNDAY 14th JUNE 2015 - Viewing from 1030am - Auction from 1130 a full list of Auction lots

Rene always has quality nursery plants so I would expect something special in his collection. It looks like this is an event not to be missed though as Bill says, sad to see another collection going.

This is sad news. Although he will not know it, Rene has inspired me over my four or five visits to Slimbridge. He's always been so helpful with advice and encouragement.
I was planning to drop in after visiting the SW cactus mart but now that will be to late.

Enjoy your retirement Rene and thanks.

General Logistics Regarding Auction.

The auction will take place at Rene’s home

Winsford, Kingston Road, Slimbridge GL2 7BW
(on main road to the Wildlife and Wetlands Trust on the left after the church)

Parking details will be advised on the day please look out for the signs / parking attendant

Please DO NOT PARK OUTSIDE THE HOUSE IN THE LANE.

Viewing will commence from 10.30am please do not arrive at the house before this time to facilitate set up.

The Auction will commence 11.30am prompt, there may be a short 15 minute break at 1 pm pending good progress but this is not guaranteed.

Following the main auction list items there will be a number of extra lots comprising of mixed young plants in trays or groups. These could be anything from groups of 6 upwards.

We will not be taking a formal lunch break – So please be prepared!

All items are sold as seen on the day and must be removed from the premises by the end of the day.

Cash and cheques only to settle account before removal of any items.

Light refreshments comprising teas, coffee and biscuits will be available on the day.
