Less than three weeks to go and an impressive list of nurseries, even more than last time, 14 nurseries and Keith selling books. For anyone coming to Spalding on the Friday evening, there's the Spalding Branch meeting on the Friday with a 'What's New' talk using plants and slides showing the latest new species, cultivars and more! On the way to Spalding it would be easy to call at Southfields which is open 10 to 12am and 1 to 4pm, only a short drive from Spalding and probably the largest cactus nursery in the UK, and one of the best. After the cactus mart on the Saturday, there should be plenty of time to visit Bay Tree garden centre just up the road from the cactus mart and a pleasant change from typical 'generic' garden centres.
Not bad for a weekend - a large cactus nursery, branch meeting, cactus mart with 15 nurseries and a unique garden centre.

Only a week to go now, I had a preview yesterday of some of the plants that will be on sale at Spalding and it's looking good!! Just to clarify, in the previous post I was suggesting visiting Southfields on the Friday on the way to Spalding, I don't think there's time to do both on the same day without rushing.

Congratulations to Spalding Branch for a super day, with lots of great plants. I was very pleased with the plants I bought, some cacti and succulents including a Seyrigia humbertii, a new plant to me, I'm going to enjoy watching it grow.
It was good too to meet lots of people to chat to. Chris and I stayed overnight in Holbeach and had a meal on the Friday night in the local pub with Dave and Lyn Appleton, good food and good company!
