If you are in the Birmingham area do visit Winterbourne house and garden soonas there's an Agave treat in store for you. In the house is a beautiful Agave Victoria Regina which has been placed on a heated plant stand in the stairwell. It looks magnificent in this early 20th century villa. The photo doesn't do it justice as its too tall to capture. The cacti greenhouse is always a pleasure to see and there are a number of plants in bud. The cacti are tended by the Arthur and Derek from the Birmingham BCSS. The groups monthly evening meetings are also held there. Andy

I took some (shaky and windy) videos of Winterbourne 5 years ago with Derek Castle narrating.

The collection greenhouses are also something to see. If they are still sticking to their former schedule Tuesdays and Fridays there are society members who will give you a tour.
