Hello All

Less than a week to go before the Zone 12 Show at South Downs Nurseries, Brighton Road (A273), Hassocks, West Sussex, BN6 9LY on Saturday 22nd July. We are expecting a good entry of cacti and succulents and we will have plant sales from sellers including David Neville, Plantlife (Stuart Riley) and C+V Cacti. There will also be a tombola and a chance to vote for your favourite plant!

As an added bonus, we will also be the first event to offer for sale the latest book from John Pilbeam, Mammillarias: Now and Again, which is a complete review of the genus with excellent photographs of the plants in habitat and cultivation.

South Downs Nurseries in one of the very best garden centres in the county, offering an exceptionally wide range of plants, horticultural, pet and other stock, as well as very nice restaurant facilities, a separate food hall with meat and fruit & veg marts and a fascinating Heritage Centre. Perfect for the family!

I am pleased to say there will be two additional attractions at South Downs Nurseries this Saturday. The Heritage Centre is hosting a large Craft Fair and there will also be food tasting sessions in the adjacent food hall. The weather forecast is good, too!

As if all this wasn't enough, there is also a workshop on pest control with David Fitton and a session with wildlife artist Desiree Hart.

This is always a very pleasant day and the venue is lovely, seemingly with even more to enjoy this year. I'm just sorry I cannot be there.
