# Auction # Autumn South East Cactus Mart at Edenbridge, Sunday October 14th

Post by apple »

Just to mix things up a bit around 12.30 to 1'ish at the South East Mart on Sunday October 14th in Edenbridge were going to have an auction. The auction will run in conjunction with the sales so you can shop while you bid. Anybody can bring plants ,books or any cactus/succulent related stuff on the day for entry into the auction, just bring it in when you arrive .Obviously as early as possible as there will be an auction entry cut off time to allow for sorting etc ,probably about 11.30. There will be a £1 lotting fee per lot payable on entry, but NO COMMISSION so you get what it makes. The Auction will be STRICTLY CASH ONLY !!! NO EXCEPTIONS!! and every thing you buy must be paid for and taken away on the day. SO!!!!!! bring large plants ,small plants ,trays of plants, any plants except dead ones, books and cactus related stuff you want to shift. Should be interesting!!!!
More info -Well there isn't really any BUT if you feel the need -Email davejappleton@hotmail.com

Auction - Rules - Clarification.

1 - Bring Plant/s ,books, pots or anything related to the hobby . You will have to bring in what you want to sell and take it to the auction area after the mart opens ,no early or free entry to mart. You will be required to pay your £1 a lot entry fee in cash.
2 If you want to put a reserve price on any lot you must say when you book in ,no extra cost.If not your item will start at £1 and could sell for that .Hammer price is final .
3 Bidding increments of £1 up to £10 ,£2 up to £20 Then £5 on up. Lots with reserves will be started at the reserve to save time messing around .So try not to set your reserve unrealistically high if you want to sell it. Lotting fees are not refunded on unsolds.
4 Buyers will be required to pay CASH and take their item instantly at the finish of the bidding so we do not have to chase around looking for payment at the end. Anyone buying an item and not being able to pay will be stopped from bidding on any other lot and the lot reauctioned .
5 Payment to vendors will be at the end of the auction.Remember whatever your lot makes you get .NO COMMISSION .
6 The auction will run in conjunction with the plant sales so it won't interfere with your buying .

Edenbridge is in west Kent, it is south of the M25. If travelling on the M25 you could leave at the Godstone junction, 6 I think, then join the A25 to Oxted and Limpsfield, just after this there is a B road going south to Edenbridge. Hope this is some help.

Banners up - Ads out - There will be sign posts into Church Lane and the Village Hall . There is also a 6X2 Banner at the entrance to Church lane so you shouldn't miss it . Sat Nav TN8 6RP. South of M25 junction 5 or 6 (sort of in the middle) on B 269 close to junction with B 2026. Plenty of free parking in the halls 2 car parks .
