Here I am near the town of Victoria West admiring a specimen of Aloe variegata, however the camera didn't survive...

Thanks everyone, I was surprised how popular the thread is,
I'm totally tone deaf Dennis, but nice looking guitar.

And do I see some CHORD-iciform plants on your mantelpiece? :lolbt:
Ever hopeful, trying to grow plants from arid sunny climates in the UK!
Lithops, Haworthia, Adromischus, other south African succulents including Ceropegia and some Crassula.

Hi Sueblu,

Curses, someone else managed to flower an Agave. My current main goal in life is to flower an Agave before I snuff it. My over 20 year old Agave victoriae-reginae ought to be capable of doing this at least, but as yet no show.

Sorry, but can't see enough detail to be sure that your plant is indeed A. schidigera (note the spelling). It might be A. parviflora for instance. What say you Geoff, oh man of the many flowering agaves? Curse and double curse you. X(
Cheers,
Colin

Hi Rogan,

Excellent shot. I have pics with me next to aloes, but these aren't for public consumption 'cos I look blotto for some reason. Absolutely nothing to do with late night partying as far as I can remember. :lolbt:
Cheers,
Colin

Lindsey,

Yes there is a CHORDiciform on the mantlepiece. Its Testudinaria elephantipes. There is another one behind my head and thats Crassula ovata 'Coral'. Did play drums occassionally in my teens, but guitar has always been my favourite instrument to play, but sax to listen to.

That excellent photographer, D.Tribble, almost cut off the top of my head. But as there's not a lot up there anyway, it hardly matters. 8-)

The forby world domination plan is working! :D

NB. Anyone failing to provide a sensible name for me to address them will be called, or referred to, as Fred.
