Hello,
My name is David Lambie and I’m new to the forum. I’m based in Bristol and grow a range of succulent plants, including cacti, in my greenhouse. I have a particular interest in Mesembs and Epiphytes and have a few Haworthias, but also a significant range of other bits and bobs!
Historically I have been involved in the society over a number of years, I’ve been growing since the mid ‘70s and I’ve briefly been a branch secretary and an occasional speaker. Fatherhood over the last few years has limited my time but now I’m getting a few moments to get back into the greenhouse!
Indeed my major job this spring is to repot and somehow get rid of the resulting overflow! I sow more seeds than I could ever think of finding space for the seedlings and, evidently, I never learn :-)
Anyway, I spend too much time on a computer at work to spend that much time online in the evening but I hope to read a bit of the forum and chip in as appropriate!
Cheers
David

Howdy & welcome (back) David. I'm sure we could think of some way to help you with that overflow. And I don't mean repotting part

Hi David,
Good to see you here.
A great grower and speaker as well; I am sure others would love to see some of your great plants, as a taster this was one I got from David a couple of years ago.

Hi David, to the forum! I know the problem with too many seedlings... there is a sales and wants section on the forum, you can always offer the overflow here!

Phil, that is a stunning plant What is it please?
Re: I'm new
Thanks for the info about sales and wants, Diane, I think I will try that when I have a few minutes!
And thanks to Phil for his encouragement, but I think we ought to note that at least 95% of that Copiapoa laui (unless my eyes deceive me) is due to Phil's cultivtion skills!
Cheers

Hello David, welcome on here! (thinks... I wonder why we have a "welcome back" smiley but not a "welcome" one?) I remember you as the Sceletium man
Ever hopeful, trying to grow plants from arid sunny climates in the UK!
Lithops, Haworthia, Adromischus, other south African succulents including Ceropegia and some Crassula.
