An agave obsession

Post by NorfolkExotics »

Hi all.

I live in between Gt. Yarmouth and Lowestoft on the east anglian coast. My collection consists mainly of agaves, but some different types of plant have crept in.

I got my 1st agave from a car boot sale. It was an americana variegata looking very sorry for it's self. From there I started looking for more and more varieties. Today, I have more than 50 varieties and the number is still growing!

Sounds about right, I have them crammed in wherever I can. I don't have a load of space to put them in, but that still doesn't stop me. Buy first, think later.

I love Agaves, too. Glad to meet you. I have not counted how many I have but I have a weakness for buying them. I am hoping they don't have too many choice ones at the National Show, there is only limited room in the greenhouse AND the car.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

I bet there will be a lot with the likes of eau brink going (I think). I've set myself a £60 spending limit, don't know weather it will be followed though.
