Hello from Arizona!

Post by mdpillet »

Hi all,

As a teenager in Belgium I had a reasonably-sized collection of succulents, with a main focus on Opuntia and relatives. I unfortunately had to give this collection up when I moved to Montana in the U.S. for university. I am now in my late twenties starting my doctorate in ecology, having just moved to Arizona. Really enjoying the biodiversity here. With the climate and plans to make Arizona our long-term home, I've started my collection back up. I have wide interests, but I especially like growing succulents from seed, especially so when they have field numbers. My biggest fear in life is spider mite. Looking forward to participating on this widely-known forum!

Thank you,
Michiel

Welcome to the forum Michiel. Should be good for growing C&S out there but mind you don't cook them.

Hi Michiel and welcome to the Forum, assume you will be growing your plants outside? It will be interesting to know if you have problems with red spider mite, which can be a real nuisance here in the UK, mainly on greenhouse grown plants. Enjoy your plants!
