Hello!

Post by Sophie »

I'm Sophie and I'm new here. I only have one little cactus so far but I don't know what type it is so I googled it. I couldn't figure out which it was and I ended up finding this forum instead!

I've named him Cooper haha and I'd be grateful if someone could let me know what type he is if you know :)

Hello & welcome aboard Sophie. Your way of naming plants reminds on my kids', I had plants named Eugene, Froggy, Niagara etc, etc :) Anyway, your plant looks like oreocereus to me, most likely oreocereus celsianus.

thank you AnTTun - that confirms the name for the similar one, about which I was unsure
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

It's not too late to change. The plant won't know.

Thanks Chris :) It didn't take me long to get a new one haha! Bought this cutie yesterday but it looks like she's a little bit damaged and I don't know if there is anything I can do to help :/ Also I wish they told you what type each one was instead of just saying 'assorted cacti/succulents'
