Well daughter is back and she with impeccable taste chose the same ones as I did. Thanks to everyone who had a go some fantastic pictures.

Special mentions to:
Pieter: Gymnocalycium horridispinum spines cold have done with a few more points though but otherwise excellent.
Image

Lyn: I loved the beetle but it's so important to the picture it detracts from the spines as a subject.

Kathleen's special award for the coolest picture goes to AgaveGeoff's Teeth or Spines

And the winner is .................................Paul D late comer but a great shot

over to Paul to choose the subject and Judge the September competition.

Thanks Bill.
The theme for the September photo competition is "interesting shapes".

If you use the scroll wheel to scroll up and down Geoff's Agave teeth become a functioning zip. Paul's spines become an interesting animation too.

Is this up? (If so, please can someone post a link?)

And if the CactusWorld Journal is ever short of photos, we know where some good ones can be found ;)

Confession it completely slipped my mind Lindsey. Got quite a bit on at the moment but I'll add it to the to do list.
