I do apologise I had not realised it was down to me to judge.
There were many fine entries but I particularly liked the contrasts between the spines and the skin on the winning entry O.macrodaysys by Devrim. Congratulations

Thanks Roy!
There were many very nice entries, thanks to everybody for entering the competition. I think this monthly competition is a very good idea, we can all see many nice photos on a certain topic and it made me try harder on taking better photos :)
I took many photos of the O. microdasys that weekend, trying to focus, catch a better angle for the sun and decide how many of the fluffy balls will be in the picture, this was the best result.
