April 2011 photo competition - "Fruits"
The only obvious theme left seems to be "fruits", so there you go.

Eriosyce krausii (Thelocephala malleolata)
Re: April 2011 photo competition - "Fruits"
Opuntia humifusca (compressa). An untidy grower, but very hardy, lots of flowers and abundant fruits which last all winter.

Whilst on the theme of Opuntias, here is my Opuntia robusta in fruit - very tasty to eat, but rather too many "pips" (ie seeds) to digest or "spit out"!

Ernie, you are a genius but I disagree about the taxon, it should rather be var. ernii
