Diane, that is an absolutely wonderful Agave. A potatorum is one of my favourites and although i'm not a huge lover of variegated plants, that is amazing. It gets my vote!
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

Maybe a better picture of the same plant made this afternoon, showing its symmetry a bit better:

Haworthiophiles will know why this comptoniana is special
I bought the plant yesterday, from local garden centre!! (ex Pugh, I think...) Now repotted in big square BEF to accommodate its abundant roots. Ever hopeful, trying to grow plants from arid sunny climates in the UK!
Lithops, Haworthia, Adromischus, other south African succulents including Ceropegia and some Crassula.

And a Lithops seed capsule.
Oops no prizes for fuzzy foto... but some may like to see it anyway. Very pregnant! Ever hopeful, trying to grow plants from arid sunny climates in the UK!
