I've been waiting all month for something interesting to turn up, but all I have been able to capture is a variety of bees on my sempervivums

Looking back through old pictures I still can't find very much, perhaps I need to leave the greenhouse door open more often

Today's visitor. Unfortunately it did not land on any plants.

This bug must have been there for a while as it had already eaten the end of one adromischus flower

Something eats Adromischus flowers ?!?!?!?

Naughty bug :shame:
Ever hopeful, trying to grow plants from arid sunny climates in the UK!
Lithops, Haworthia, Adromischus, other south African succulents including Ceropegia and some Crassula.

And the winner is Linx's hoverfly:
Hoverfly021.jpg
The subject fills the frame, the body is all in focus, and there is nothing superfluous in the picture.

I also liked Jim Mercer's hoverfly and AnTTun's second lizard. Jens's butterfly might also have won if the picture had been cropped.
Interested in cacti (particularly Echinopsis, Rebutia, Sulcorebutia, Lobivia, Gymnos and Chamaelobivia), Stapeliads, Sempervivums, and anything else that takes my fancy.

Congratulations (tu) Linx, a well-deserved win.

Do tell us a bit more about the plant it was visiting! Outdoors, indoors, your own plant or somewhere else? Any label?? ( , :ugeek: -me)

I think it is still there - it has spun a bit of a web and pulled three flowers together

Well I can't get hold of Linx for the next subject, Jim did the last one so I'll ask AnTTun to set the next one.
