Roots, tubers.. anything that feeds plants and is at least partially under the surface. You know what I mean :)

A Thelocactus I obtained a year ago. Never realised the roots of a Thelocactus could be so tuberous.

::o ::o ::o ::o ::o I wish my Haworthias would do that ::o

John, what do you feed your plants on?! I thought it was phosphorus that's good for roots... burying a whole box of matches in the pot, maybe?

Jim, ::o ::o ::o

I spent this afternoon chopping up two old Adromischus schuldtianus plants. For those not in the know, these have superb tuberous roots. I put my resulting 20 or so cuttings in a shady place for the stems to dry, then a trip down the garden to our compost heap for recycling the pieces of root ...

... then I remembered this month's competition theme :duh: :duh: :duh:
