Lindsay, my favorite xmas breakfast is Pandoro, just flower, eggs, (plenty of) butter and sugar, I don't like those freaky raisins
But how did you decorate your panettone?
Jens will hopefully forgive our shift into OT

I opened the box delivered by Tesco and I cut a slice!Eveandrea wrote:But how did you decorate your panettone?
Maybe a Dioscorea Christmas pudding could be edible...
"Hottentot bread " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dioscorea_elephantipes
(I am making a New Year resolution not to comment on other people's Monthly Competition photos! But it is not New Year yet )

Nice one Eveandrea! Is that a holly branch growing out of the Dioscorea-bread?
I think discussion about the entries is as much fun as looking at the entries themself. And this topic is made for both pictures and talk.

Well Jens, a holly branch couldn't possibly be grafted on a caudiciform plant, it had to be something fitting on the Dioscorea. See Tinas post here: http://www.bcss.org.uk/foruma/viewtopic ... &start=140
Unfortunately I have no time to create a new pic for your thread, sorry! But maybe you have fun all the same with my entry
Tschüss und guten Rutsch!

Some nice entries !
Mc Farlands work has a high cuteness factor and was much fun to look at but the Leuchtenbergia /Lightenbergia by lithos finally made the race.
Congrats to all the participants for their nice works.

Thank you Jens for choosing the 'lightenbergia' - it was a bit of fun for christmas.
Let's not forget this is a photo 'competition' - not just any picture of a plant that fits the title. There are some suprerb photographers who share their pictures on this forum all the time.
