just thought I would enter pics of two epiphytes that live on top of a cupboard in our kitchen and always flower in the spring sunshine that we are all yearning for now.

Re: January 2012 photo comp - Succulent flowers in the sun
Thank you everyone for brightening up some long dark nights. Chris L.'s picture of Notocactus scopa sunbathing, made me laugh and want to just jump on a plane and go south.
Some beautiful photo's as always from Jim Mercer - I loved the C.ovata. The Rebutias from Phil White, and Wiebes Stapelialiads also caught my eye. But for sheer 'succulent flowers in the sun' my winner.....is.........
Michael (Morgans Beauty) for his picture of Pleiospilos compactus, I love the contrast of those very dainty slim petals, with the concrete paving background, and it's almost dripping like honey in the sun.
Now, where is my towel... I need to up be up early to beat Michael (from Germany) to the sun lounger!

Hi there, well you are going to have to make a couple of decisions now. What is the subject for February and then pick your favourite? No pressure! We are all waiting, cameras poised.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

oh sorry, i'm a little scatterbrained
the next subject should be: a succulent plant in an unusual place! (let your imagination run wild)
